Clovelly is a small timeless village as mentioned in the doomsday book, within the Torridge district of North Devon, England. It has an old harbour where the steep, cobbled street (pedestrianised ) tumbles down past the pretty cottages with wonderful views over the Bristol Channel. Also on view is Lundy Island a maritime and wildlife heaven, boasting rugged cliffs and a dramatic coastline The beautiful scenery can be enjoyed at several locations. The Hobby Drive in particular meanders through the woods and opens out with a beautiful vista overlooking Clovelly harbour. The South West Coast Path runs past the top of the village and the section from Clovelly to Hartland Quay is particularly spectacular. There are several establishments to eat within the local area, if on foot, Clovelly village can offer two restaurants.
